Ambassadors

Josh Daiek

Josh Daiek is a professional skier, filmmaker, and lifelong adventurer who has built his career around exploring mountains and sharing the stories from wild locations. From growing up in the city to making a life in the Sierra Nevada, Josh has always pushed himself to explore, create, and stay connected to the places that inspire him.

Why are mountains and nature important to me? - “I grew up in the city but have always felt a strong calling to the mountains. I find a connection and inner peace in the raw, natural elements of nature. A feeling that has guided my life, shaped who I am, and made protecting these places deeply important to me.”

Sawyer Broman

“Growing up around the mountains and lakes in Tahoe pretty much shaped who I am. Whether I’m carving down a ski run, hitting the dirt on my bike, or heading out into the backcountry, being outdoors is where I feel most at home. Calling Tahoe home is something I never take for granted, and it’s given me a huge appreciation for the backyard we get to play in every day.

I’m super stoked to team up with Be Better, Keep It Clean as an ambassador because I truly believe in what they're doing. Tahoe is an incredible place, and keeping it that way comes down to all of us—whether you've lived here your whole life or you're just visiting for the weekend.

To me, Be Better, Keep It Clean is all about the simple stuff that actually adds up. Leaving the trails better than we found them, respecting our lakes, and setting a good example go a long way when everyone pitches in. I’m proud to back a movement that helps our community protect the outdoors we all love.”

Keely Cashman

“My name is Keely Cashman, and I grew up in the small mountain town of Strawberry, California, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I am a professional alpine skier, two-time Olympian, and avid outdoor enthusiast. Growing up surrounded by mountains, forests, rivers, and wildlife gave me a deep appreciation for the outdoors from an early age, as well as a strong sense of responsibility to protect these places for future generations.

Through my skiing career, I have had the opportunity to travel and train all over the world, and I have personally witnessed changes in the environments that I have grown to love. In recent years, I have seen glaciers recede by enormous amounts, and it is deeply concerning to me, not only as an athlete whose career depends on the mountains, but as someone who genuinely loves these places for their natural, untouched beauty.

When I am not skiing, you can usually find me fly fishing, exploring the mountains, or spending time outside. Being outdoors has always been a huge part of who I am, and it has given me some of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I believe we have a responsibility to speak up for the places that cannot speak for themselves. Public lands and wild spaces should be protected and cared for so that future generations can experience the same freedom, beauty, and connection to nature. I am proud to support a movement that works to protect our outdoor spaces and inspire people to value and care for them.”

Dylan O’Neill

“I was born in San Francisco, and it wasn’t until I was nine that my family moved up to Truckee full-time. At the time, as a little city kid, I was reluctant about moving to a mountain town, but I’ve since turned and never looked back. I love everything about the place I get to call home, whether that's racing, powder skiing, wake surfing, or exploring. This place is home, and I’ll never take that for granted.

I’m pumped to partner up with Be Better, Keep It Clean because I wholeheartedly agree with the message. Keeping Tahoe a place of beauty is up to us, and if I can lend a hand in helping that cause, I am all for it.

To me, Be Better, Keep It Clean is about much more than just picking up trash or applying more reusable products into your life. It’s about making a change at the fundamental level for a more sustainable future. This means doing the hard things even when you don’t want to, and gaining knowledge about our environment and anything we can do to cherish it. A healthy planet is a happy planet, and if we don’t do our part in keeping it that way, who will?”

Jack Gray

“I was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, and being outdoors has always been a huge part of my life. I love skiing, biking, fishing, backpacking, baseball, and pretty much anything that gets me outside. Growing up in Tahoe has given me a huge appreciation for the outdoors and the place I’m lucky enough to call home.

I’m excited to be an ambassador for Be Better, Keep It Clean because I believe in what the movement stands for. Tahoe is an amazing place, and I think it’s our responsibility to take care of it and keep it as beautiful as possible for the people who live here and the people who come to visit.

To me, Be Better, Keep It Clean is about making a difference through simple actions. Picking up trash, respecting our trails and lakes, and encouraging others to do the same can go a long way when everyone works together. I’m proud to be part of a movement that is focused on making our community better and protecting the outdoors that so many of us love.”

Tyler Dore

“I grew up in South Lake Tahoe and have always felt most at home when I’m outside skiing, biking, hiking, or just chilling in nature. I’m hyped to be a part of Be Better Keep it Clean so I can help make a difference in this beautiful place. Unfortunately, thousands of people come here every summer and leave their trash behind, so I hope I can help and inspire others to help clean our lakes, rivers, and forests.  I'm very proud to be part of this new movement focused on preserving our beautiful home.”
